Having great skin is a universal sign of beauty. The skincare market is filled with hundreds and thousands of products all designed to help skin look fresh, beautiful, and clear. Despite all of these options available on the market, good skin still alludes many of us girls. If you’re one of those people who have tried everything without any success or if you just want better skin over all (who doesn’t!) then these tips are for you!
There’s no doubt you’ve heard this tip before but it’s out there for a reason. Hydrating your skin both inside and out is one of the biggest favors you can do for your complexion. Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day. The influx of water will flush out the toxins in your body that are responsible for clogged pores, breakouts and blemishes. Water doesn’t have to be boring. By adding any kind of fruit you can easily create a delicious infused water that you will want to drink all day long. To hydrate your skin from the outside, find a hypoallergenic, fragrance free moisturizer and use it every day before bed. Applying a lotion or cream to your face before bed will allow your skin to soak in all of the nutrients while you are sleeping.
Identify Your Skin Type
One of the reasons so many products on the market seem infective for treating our skin problems is because they are not targeted for our specific skin type. Everyone has a different type of skin whether it be oily, dry, acne prone, blemish free etc. By identifying the type of skin you have you can narrow down the list of products which are meant to deal with your skin type. For example, if you very dry skin then don’t use a cleanser that’s meant for oily skin. It will end up drying out your skin even more. Pay close attention to the description of skin care products to ensure they are the best for you!
Wash Your Face at Night
Washing your face during the morning is one of those things that makes us feel instantly awake. However, washing your face at night before you go to bed is even more important. At the end of the day, all of the elements you have been exposed to throughout the day build up on your skin. If these things aren’t washed off before you go to bed they will multiply at night when you are sleeping and result in acne, clogged pores and other problems. Cleansing your face at night and applying a light moisturize will result in you waking up with glowing, clear skin every morning.
