How to Fight Dark Circles Once and For All

Dark circles are a problem that plague even the most glamorous and beautiful of women. It seems no one can escape from this dowdy curse no matter how well you take care of your skin. Unlike most skin problems, dark circles are caused by elements that we have almost no control over and no amount of precaution can change that fact. Dark circles are caused by hereditary and genetic factors, so if someone in your immediate family has dark circles, you’re likely to inherit them as well. You’re also more prone to dark circles if you have certain health conditions like anemia. While all this sounds very discouraging, there’s no need to lose hope because there are many ways that you can reduce the appearance of these unsightly circles. The best part is most of these remedies are easy to do at home and they are both time and cost effective. Without further ado, here they are.
1. This tomato mixture
Tomatoes contain many elements that are great for fighting the pigmentation that causes dark circles. Make an anti-dark circle mixture at home by combining one crushed slice of tomato with 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of turmeric. Mix the ingredients together well and apply it all over the affected area. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off thoroughly. Be very careful not to get this mixture in your eye because the lemon juice can cause stinging and irritation. The natural properties of this mixture will be sure to reduce if not banish dark circles with continuous use.
2. Cucumbers
Have you ever wondered why women apply cucumber slices to their eyes while getting a facial? Well it turns out the slices aren’t just for decoration after all, they actually have a purpose. Cucumbers contain properties that help fight dark circles so slice some up and place them on your eyes for 15 – 120 minutes every other day. You’ll be sure to notice a reduction in your dark circles in a matter of days!
3. Rose Water
Not only does rose water smell heavenly, it’s an amazing way to combat dark circles. Dip a cotton ball in rose water and leave it under your eyes for 15 – 20 minutes. Try this weekly to see a reduction in your circles!
