Now that we’re spending most of our days by the pool and at the beach there’s something else we have to think about other than making sure our bodies are in perfect shape and that’s skincare. Looking good in a bathing suit isn’t just about being fit and confident. It’s also about making sure that you have great skin since you will be showing off so much of it. Even if you have the perfect bikini body, it’s not going to look great until you have great skin to compliment it. That’s why we thought it would be great to give you girls some tips about how to glow from head to toe in your bikinis and bathing suits.
During the winter our arms and legs are hidden underneath a number of layers. Because they weren’t getting any exposure to the sun in the winter it’s easy to neglect them but when you’re wearing a bathing suit they will be out in the open. That’s why it’s important to exfoliate the skin on your entire body to ensure that the layers of dead skin that accumulated during the winter months are sloughed off. Try exfoliating your entire body once a week for naturally glowing skin. Not only will it make you feel and look better, it will also make shaving easier.
2. The Perfect Shave
When we’re out in our bikinis we want our skin to look perfect and part of that look is having a close shave on our legs. In order to get the best shave possible, it’s important to exfoliate first like we mentioned above. After exfoliating, apply a shaving cream or lotion to your legs and begin shaving against the grain of your hair. This will ensure that you’re getting the closest shave possible. After you shave apply a heavy layer of lotion to your legs and you will be good to go!
3. Getting that Summer Glow
Part of looking great in a bikini is having a golden summer glow, in other words, a tan. We all know how dangerous tanning is for our skin. It ages us prematurely and it increases our chances of skin care immensely. That’s why it’s important to achieve our tan in a healthy and unharmful way. You can try tanning lotions and tanning towels. Nowadays these products are no longer synonymous with turning a person bright orange. If used correctly they can give a healthy, golden glow without any of the damage that goes along with lying in the sun.
