Fake eyelashes are one of the most dramatic ways to transform your look. They add a level of glamor and sophistication to any make up look that can’t be achieved with any other product. While false eyelashes make a huge impact, they can be tricky to put on. If applied incorrectly, they can droop down or fall off altogether. That’s something all of us want to avoid. In order to apply false lashes correctly and ensure that they stay on for the entire night there are a few precautions you can take.
Before gluing on your eyelashes, make sure that you cut them to match the size of your eyes. Don’t cut them too short because then they won’t adhere to your entire lash line and they will be more likely to fall off that way. Once you’ve cut your lashes make sure that the longer lashes are facing towards the outward corner of your eye.
Now that your lashes are cut and adjusted in the right direction, apply a thin line of glue to your non-dominant hand (the hand that you will not be applying the lashes with). Lightly run the inner edge of the lashes along the glue and allow the glue to dry for around thirty seconds. Once you’ve waited around 30 – 40 seconds, place the lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible. Once you’ve placed them down, allow for the glue to dry on its own. It could take a few minutes. Don’t press down on the lashes because this could cause them to fall off. Once the glue has dried for at least 5 minutes take your mascara and apply it to the lashes. This will allow your artificial lashes to adhere to your real lashes and it will help them to stay in place. Use a liquid eyeliner to fill in any gaps between your real and false lashes and there you have it! Your lashes are ready to go and are sure to stay in place! When it’s time to take them off use a cotton swab dipped in eye makeup remover and swipe it along your lashes. This will get them off quickly and painlessly!
