How to Get Rid of Pesky Blackheads at Home

Ladies, we’ve all been plagued by pesky blackheads that you can’t remove no matter how hard you try. It seems like every face mask, every exfoliator, ever cleanser is able to remove everything else on our skin but leaves behind blackheads no matter what. If you’re one of those women who feel like you’ve tried everything to get rid of blackheads but haven’t had any success, keep reading and hopefully one of these tips will work for you. Blackheads are an excess of oil and dirt that builds up in our skin and clogs our pores. While it’s tempting to pick or squeeze them, this only makes the problem worse as the oil seeps deeper into our pores and causes more blackheads and breakouts subsequently.

But there’s no need to despair because there are a few things we can do at home to easily get rid of blackheads! One of the most effective ways to get rid of blackheads is by making a mask out of egg whites. Separate the yolk from the white and whisk the white in a small bowl. Wash your face with warm water first and pat dry. Then apply the egg white in a thin layer over any areas that have blackheads.

Place a strip of tissue or toilet paper over the area where you’ve applied the egg white and apply another thin layer of egg white over the paper. Wait until your skin starts to feel dry and the paper and egg white have hardened. Once this happens peel off the paper and you will see the blackheads come out along with it. This is a great substitute for blackhead strips that you can find in the store. It’s much cheaper than the strips and it contains no unknown chemicals or ingredients!

Another method you can use to remove blackheads at home is to mix together one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of milk. Heat them together in a bowl for around a minute in the microwave. Apply a thin layer over the area you are targeting and pat on a strip of cotton over it. Let it dry completely. This could take up to 20 minutes. You’ll know when it’s dry because you’ll feel some tugging on your skin. Remove the strip and wash the area with cool water.

Make sure to try these methods and let us know if they work for you below in the comments!
